HISTORY OF HBTSSN
The Haematology and Blood Transfusion Scientists Society of Nigeria(HBTSSN)
is a non-profit organization founded in 2018 by career Haematology and Blood Transfusion Scientists in Nigeria for the purpose of charting new directions and advancing their practice.
Our Objectives
- To provide support and advocacy for research in laboratory Haematology and Blood Transfusion Science.
- To encourage the exchange of knowledge among Haematology and Blood Transfusion Scientists on the theory and practice of haematology and blood transfusion through meetings such as conferences, symposia, workshops, public lectures, exhibitions and publications.
- To foster national and international and international collaboration in Haematology and Blood Transfusion Science research.
- To provide opportunities for haematology scientists, students and other interested parties.
- To meet to promote scientific communication and education in the field of laboratory haematology and blood transfusion science.
Who We Are
Haematology and Blood Transfusion Scientists Society of Nigeria (HBTSSN) is a learned society made up of scientists whose sphere of practice is native to the Haematology and Blood Transfusion laboratories and other interest groups nationally and internationally. It was formally inaugurated as a professional society on the 13th September, 2018 at Crest Hotel, Jos, Nigeria. The HBTSSN is poised towards encouraging the exchange of knowledge among haematology and blood transfusion scientists on the theory and practice of haematology and blood transfusion through meetings such as conferences, symposia, workshops, public lectures, exhibitions, research and publications.
