HBTSSN 2024-TRAVEL AWARDS
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
The Haematology and Blood Transfusion Scientists Society of Nigeria (HBTSSN) in collaboration with theInternational Society for Blood Transfusion (ISBT) announces the travel awards for early career scientistsand final year undergraduate students of Haematology and Blood Transfusion to attend the internationalworkshop during the 3rd HBTSSN International Conference on the 16-19th April, 2024.
Workshop theme: HAEMOSTASIS AND BLOOD TRANSFUSION: THE MEETING POINT
Venue: Multi-purpose Conference Hall, Federal Medical Center, Yenegoa, Bayelsa StateApplicants must meet the following criteria:
(For early career haematology scientists)
1. Must be a registered and up to date member of HBTSSN.
2. Must be an early career haematology scientist (below 10 years of post-qualification).
3. Must register for HBTSSN 2024 and submit an abstract on coagulation and blood transfusion whichmust meet prerequisite standard, to be selected by the panel of reviewers.
For student applicants, the student must:
1. be in the final (500) level in his regular year of his/her Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science(BMLS) programme.
2. have a CGPA of 4.0 and above.
3. present a letter of recommendation from a registered and up to date member of HBTSSN.
Application begins on the 4th February 2024 and ends on the 5th March, 2024. Successful applicants will benotified between the 8th and 15th of March 2024.
Successful applicant shall enjoy a waiver for the registration fee for the workshop and a travel support offifty thousand naira (#50,000.00) payable at the workshop. In additions, all awardees shall receive awardplaques and certificates.
