KEEP LIFE FLOWING
Blood is life and what keeps and maintains life is the flow of blood in our veins that enable oxygen and nutrients to be transported to all tissues and organs of the body. Whatever compromises this flow of blood amounts to devasting and fatal consequences. Thrombosis is one pathological condition that can result to vascular occlusion with the resultant consequence of death. For this reason, the 13th of October every year is set aside worldwide to create awareness about thrombosis. This year 2022, the day will be celebrated on the 13th October 2022.
The Haematology and Blood Transfusion Scientists Society of Nigeria (HBTSSN) in collaboration with Narayana Health and Clina Lancet brings to you a one day of awareness campaign under the Chairmanship of the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, Prof Valentine B. Omubo-Pepple.
* The keynote lecture on the theme, KEEP LIFE FLOWING will be delivered by Professor Kaladada Korubo, the Dean of Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences, Rivers State University, Port Harcourt.
